An 18kt Lady of the Miraculous Medal is a religious medal made from 18-karat gold, which is 75% pure gold mixed with 25% other metals for strength and durability. The medal is tied to the devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, a Marian devotion originating from the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Saint Catherine Labouré in 1830 in Paris, France.
Design
The front carries an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary with rays of light streaming from her outstretched hands, symbolising the graces she bestows on those who ask. Around this image runs the inscription, "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee," a reference to the dogma of the Immaculate Conception.
The reverse features a large "M" surmounted by a cross, with two hearts below: the Sacred Heart of Jesus, crowned with thorns, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, pierced by a sword. This side may also include twelve stars, representing the twelve apostles.
Devotion and use
The Miraculous Medal is believed to bring special graces to those who wear it with faith. By tradition, those who wear the medal, particularly after a priest has blessed it, receive the protection and intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Many Catholics wear it daily as a sign of their devotion, and it is often given as a gift for religious milestones such as baptisms, confirmations or first communions.
The medal is usually blessed by a priest, which is believed to confer additional spiritual benefit and protection. Faulty or defective items

If you receive a faulty or defective item, please contact us at info@holygrace.com.au as soon as possible, preferably within 7 working days of receiving your order. We will assess the issue and provide a remedy in accordance with your rights under Australian Consumer Law. The 7-working-day contact request does not limit those rights. Damage caused by loss, accidental damage, mistreatment, modifications to the design, or exposure to perfume, hairspray, water or other agents is not covered by our workmanship guarantee; this does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
For an eligible refund, we process the refund within 3 days after we receive and approve the returned item.
