30 Years Jewellery Experience
The St Benedict Crucifix brings together the traditional crucifix and the St Benedict Medal in a devotional design. Associated with St Benedict of Nursia and the Benedictine tradition, the medal is cherished as a symbol of faith and spiritual protection.
Made in Italy from solid 18KT yellow gold, this large-format pendant has a high-polish finish, a detailed gold corpus of Christ and a St Benedict Medal at its centre. The medal's Latin letters and inscriptions add meaning to the design, making it a piece to look at closely as well as to wear.
The St Benedict Medal inscriptions
- C.S.P.B. — Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti (The Cross of the Holy Father Benedict)
- C.S.S.M.L. N.D.S.M.D. — “May the Holy Cross be my light! Let not the dragon be my guide!”
- V.R.S.N.S.M.V. S.M.Q.L.I.V.B. — abbreviations of a Latin prayer against evil
Wear it with a chain of your choice as a personal reminder of faith, or give it as a meaningful gift for a special occasion.
