9KT Yellow Gold St Benedict Crucifix. Chain not included.
The St. Benedict Crucifix combines the traditional crucifix with the St. Benedict Medal. Associated with St. Benedict of Nursia, founder of the Benedictine monastic tradition, it is revered as a symbol of protection, faith and deliverance from evil.
Crafted in solid 9KT yellow gold with a high-polish finish, the cross features a detailed yellow gold corpus of Christ and the St. Benedict Medal at the centre, engraved with its well known Latin inscriptions and prayers.
Inscriptions on the St. Benedict Medal
- C.S.P.B. Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti (The Cross of the Holy Father Benedict)
- C.S.S.M.L. N.D.S.M.D. "May the Holy Cross be my light! Let not the dragon be my guide!"
- V.R.S.N.S.M.V. S.M.Q.L.I.V.B. Abbreviations of a Latin exorcism prayer against evil
Often worn as a necklace or placed in the home or vehicle for spiritual protection, this crucifix is a reminder of faith and the legacy of St. Benedict.
